Low Country Love Matchmaking was founded by Talya Shoup, a seasoned matchmaker and dating coach devoted to helping discerning singles create meaningful, lasting relationships. With over a decade of experience guiding individuals toward love, Talya brings together intuition, expertise, and a deeply personal approach.

Having found love again after divorce while raising three children, Talya has a particular passion for supporting those who are “starting over.” She understands firsthand the nuances of rebuilding a life and opening your heart to love again, especially when family is part of the journey.

Talya’s matchmaking career began in Berlin, Germany, where she curated exclusive events for accomplished professionals seeking genuine connection. From there, her work evolved into highly personalized, one-on-one matchmaking, serving clients throughout Europe and the United States. In addition to running her own matchmaking agency, she also worked as a consultant leading matchmaking agencies in the US and in London.

With a professional background in hospitality and human resources, Talya is a natural connector, skilled at understanding people, dynamics, and the subtleties that create true compatibility. Her signature approach blends bespoke matchmaking with strategic dating coaching, offering clients not only exceptional introductions, but the confidence to show up fully and authentically.
